Introductions are Important

Welcome to the all-new North Style Blog!

I spend a lot of time curating my own personal fashion choices. I can't claim they are better than anyone else's or any more "North" than any other Minnesotan/northern out there; however, I know what I like and I'm hoping others will appreciate the time/research that I put into these choices.

I also promise to fully vet out products that I recommend on the page. I have used these items for a legitimate amount of time so that I can attest to their durability and utility. Please be aware this is no guarantee; just because I like it, doesn't necessarily mean you will. If you have a question, just tag me in the comments and I will do my best to answer you directly and honestly.

So here's the lowdown on what I like:

I favor --

  • things made in the USofA. I like supporting local craftsmen in the age old art of making things. But I like things made in other countries as well.
  • things made of natural materials. This isn't a prerequisite to me considering anything but if I have a choice between cotton and polyester, I'm going to choose cotton.
  • things that serve a purpose. I'm not great at decorative and I find it difficult to spend a lot of money on things that don't serve a more utilitarian purpose. Also, being from Minnesota, it's in my blood.
My initial posts will be of some of my favorite classic items.

Comment and let me know what types of information you find most useful, what's missing, or what you want to hear about next!
